Rockets comeback late & win, 116-112!

The Houston Rockets made their only visit to the Garden Sunday afternoon.

They trailed by as many as 17 late in the first quarter, 32-15.

They proceeded to score 45 points in the second quarter to pull within 2, 64-62 at the half.

The deficit remained 2 points after the third quarter as well, 94-92.

In the 4th quarter, the Knicks opened the lead up to 8, 92-84. The lead shrunk to 3, 110-107 with just over a minute to go in the game.

That's when Aaron Brooks of the Rockets took over. He scored 7 straight points to give the Rockets a 114-110 advantage with 56.9 seconds left in the game.

They wound up winning the game as the Knicks couldn't finish down the stretch.

Friday night's hero, Toney Douglas was called for 3 late fouls in the last minute.

Kevin Martin was the high scorer for the Rockets, he had 28 points. Jordan Hill, the former Knick who was traded along with Jared Jeffries in the Tracy McGrady trade added 13 points.

For the Knicks, David Lee returned and scored 27 points and he grabbed 20 rebounds but it was wasted in the loss.
