Kauffman Stadium after the renovation!

Renovated Outfield at Kauffnan Stadium

Back in 1988, I went to Royals Stadium as it was called back then.

In addition, they played on artificial turf.

In 1996, when I was there they had natural grass which made a great ballpark even better.

This time I was there for my 10th game, this time the ballpark was different once again.

In the previous visits, the outfield backdrop consisted of patches of real grass surrounded by water fountains which made for a gorgeous setting along with their big black & white scoreboard.

With this recent renovation, they enclosed the outfield area and created additional seating along with a party deck as you can see in the picture. They kept the water fountains out there as well to maintain the beauty of the backdrop. Furthermore, they modernized the huge scoreboard out in center field which is now very colorful.

With this latest addition, the Royals were awarded the 2012 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

Baseball will still be in Kansas City for many years to come.

I strongly suggest that if you haven't been there that you make an effort to do so.

Needless to say, if you need any assistance yours truly is here to help make it happen.
